Here is the view from Upper Baraka Gardens in Valletta. From here, you see the whole Grand Harbour — British spelling — where the grossly outnumbered Knights of St. John fought off the Turks in the Great Siege in 1565.

It’s peaceful now, a spectaciular view of the harbor and the three cities across the bay.
